Seminole State College has officially named Rachel Minier as Head Softball Coach, removing the interim designation after leading the program since the conclusion of the Fall 2025 semester.
A former Raider standout and assistant coach, Minier has quickly distinguished herself as a dedicated leader committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the field. Since joining the Seminole State coaching staff in August 2024, she has played a key role in supporting the program's competitive and academic success while building strong relationships with student-athletes, alumni, and the community.
As head coach, Minier oversees all aspects of the Seminole State softball program, including recruiting, player development, academic achievement, fundraising, program operations, and community engagement. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes accountability, discipline, competitiveness, and creating a culture that prepares student-athletes for success in the classroom, on the field, and beyond graduation.

Rachel's passion for Seminole State, her leadership abilities, and her vision for the future of our softball program made her the clear choice. She understands what it means to be a Raider, and I am confident she will continue to build a championship culture that positively impacts our student-athletes both athletically and academically."
Minier's connection to Seminole State began as a student-athlete. As a Raider, she earned Second Team All-Mid-Florida Conference honors as a freshman before enjoying an outstanding sophomore campaign in which she batted .354 with 68 career runs scored, 65 RBIs, 18 doubles, six triples, eight home runs, and 29 stolen bases. Her performance earned First Team All-Mid-Florida Conference recognition and selection to the State Tournament All-Star Team.
Following her time at Seminole State, Minier continued her collegiate career at Nova Southeastern University, where she led the team with a .333 batting average and a .400 slugging percentage before a season-ending injury cut her year short. She later transferred to Rollins College, where she started all 52 games during her final season. At Rollins, she ranked fourth on the team with a .308 batting average, scored 35 runs, drove in 18 RBIs, tied for the team lead with 10 doubles, and added two home runs. Defensively, she posted a .949 fielding percentage while helping turn 19 double plays. She was also recognized on the 2016 Sunshine State Conference Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll.
After earning a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Nova Southeastern University, Minier began her coaching career in the travel softball ranks throughout South and Central Florida. Her success in athlete development led to her appointment as head coach at Timber Creek High School, where she guided the Wolves to the 2024 Metro Conference Championship and the 2024 District Championship while establishing a culture centered on accountability, player growth, and competitive excellence.
A proud Seminole State alumna, Minier returns to her alma mater with a deep appreciation for the role the institution played in her own development and a strong commitment to helping future generations of Raiders achieve success academically, athletically, and personally.
