On Saturday, January 24, Seminole State College of Florida dedicated its softball field as Courtney Miller Field, honoring retired head coach Courtney Miller for her extraordinary 30-year career. Miller, who led the program with distinction for three decades, was inducted into the Florida College System Activities Association Softball Hall of Fame in May 2024, recognizing her lasting impact and many achievements.
The renaming celebration featured an official ribbon-cutting ceremony with Sanford Commissioner Claudia Thomas, President Emeritus Ann McGee, current softball coach Rachel Minier, President Georgia Lorenz, Lake Mary Mayor David Mealor, and representatives from DACG, Inc. The redesign of the field and new entryway was generously donated by DACG, Inc.
