The Seminole State College Women's Golf team captured the NJCAA District 8 Championship, securing the title of Florida state champions with a commanding performance at Mystic Dunes Golf Club.
Seminole State dominated the field, finishing 11 strokes ahead of the next closest team to clinch the championship. The victory further solidifies the program's standing as one of the top competitors in the region and the nation.
Leading the way was standout golfer Asitha Ashok, who delivered an impressive showing, finishing just four strokes over par. Ashok currently holds the No. 3 ranking in the region and No. 6 nationally, underscoring her consistent excellence throughout the season.
Teammate Allison Seitz also turned in a strong performance, finishing six strokes over par and earning a No. 4 regional ranking.
With the District 8 title secured, Seminole State now looks ahead with momentum, poised to continue its success on the national stage in Iowa from May 11-14th.
