Softball Eliminated by IRSC, 6-2

Clermont, FLORIDA - The Seminole State Softball Team's season ended on Sunday morning with a 6-2 loss to Indian River State College. The Raiders out hit the Pioneers, but could string their hits together. Three errors in the field also contributed to the teams first post-season loss to Indian River in over 12 years.

  • Tickets for home games (cash only) are $5 for adults/$3 for youth & seniors. Season tickets are $30. All are available at the gate.
  • 13 Raider Student-Athletes were named Academic All NJCAA for 2021-22
  • 43 Raider Student-Athletes were named Academic All Mid-Florida Conference (3.0 & higher) for 2021-22
  • Coach Courtney Miller won her 1,200 career Softball game on April 6, 2023. The program reached the 1,000 win mark on February 6, 2020.

About the Seminole State Raiders:

The Raider Athletics Department of Seminole State College lives by the Mission of "preparing Raiders for their Next Steps in Life." "Next steps" can include moving on with an athletic scholarship to a four-year university, an AA or AS degree or preparing to finish a bachelors' degree at Seminole State.

The Raiders were established in 1965 and initially led by Athletic Director and Head Basketball Coach Joe Sterling. Seminole State sponsors five sports all competing in the NJCAA Division I.  Both Baseball and Softball facilities are located on College Drive on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus.
