SANFORD, FLORIDAÂ - The Raiders (37-9) defeated Daytona State on Tuesday 3-0 in the second round of MFC play. After going 3-3 in recent games against Central Florida and Santa Fe, SSC posted the shut-out win to stay in second place with a 7-3 record, one game back of CF.
Keivana Durand continued her dominance of DSC with her 3
rd shut-out win against the Falcons. She allowed 3 hits and struck out 8. Even though the offense had 10 hits, they struggled to take advantage of scoring opportunities, leaving 12 on base.
The Raiders will finish their series with a doubleheader at Daytona on Thursday with first pitch at 3:00 pm.
