Sanford, Florida - The Raiders (6-1) swept Eastern Florida (3-5) in their home opener on Saturday 9-2 and 2-1. Paige Weinmann (cover photo), hit two home runs in Game 1 driving in six runs and locking up the Qdoba Player of the Day honors. Taylor Malz drove in the other three runs on a double and homerun. In the second game Avery Brewer hit a go ahead solo homerun in the bottom of the 6th and right fielder Dazha Durand threw out the potential tying run in the top of the 7th to secure the hard fought 2-1 victory.

WP:  Tori Beland (2-1, right)  7 IP, 8 H, 2 ER, 6 K's.

Weinmann: 2-3, 2 HR, 6 RBI
Malz: 2-4, 2B, HR, 3 RBI
Ang Badalament: 1-3, 2B

Game 2:
WP: Kievana Durand (2-0) 7 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 4 K's

Brewer: 2-3, HR, RBI
Weinmann: 1-2, RBI
Lindsay Corazzini: 1-2, 3B

Seminole will host Florida State College of Jacksonville on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
