The Raiders women's cross country team enters the season with an almost entirely new roster and an opportunity to create a strong identity for the program moving forward. While the team will rely heavily on young talent, several runners bring valuable cross-country experience and leadership to guide the group throughout the season.
Dayanara Suarez-Delgado, Athena Turner, and Addison Freeman provide the experience needed to help define the culture of the program and establish the standard for competition and daily training. Ashley Diaz and Alexis Cunningham round out the roster and will play important roles as the Raiders push toward postseason competition while laying the groundwork for future success.
With a small but determined group, the Lady Raiders are focused on development, consistency, and creating momentum that will benefit the program this season and beyond.
On the men's side, Seminole State returns two experienced runners in
Preston Morley and
Jaden Houdashelt. The duo will help lead a squad looking to improve upon last year's 28th-place finish at the NJCAA National Championships.
The Raiders welcome an impressive recruiting class highlighted by Aiden Williams and Gabriel Lewis, two newcomers expected to make an immediate impact. Joining them are Gabriel Silver, James Happle, Tyler Aguilar, and Mauricio Urdaneta, giving Seminole State one of its deepest and most talented incoming classes in recent memory.
With a blend of returning experience and exciting young talent, the men's team has its sights set on establishing new program records, achieving higher finishes, and continuing the upward trajectory of the Raiders Cross Country program.
The Raiders open the 2026 season on Friday, September 4, at the Florida Intercollegiate Cross Country Invitational at Cecil Field in Jacksonville.
