JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – On August 29, 2025, the Seminole State College men's and women's cross country teams opened their seasons at the University of North Florida Invite, marking their first competition under new head coach Anthony "AJ" Sayers.
On the women's side, sophomore standout Morgan Harvill picked up right where she left off after a strong freshman campaign. Harvill led the Lady Raiders with a time of 19:49.3 in the 5K, finishing 45th overall. As a team, Seminole State placed 11th in the field and secured the spot as the second-highest NJCAA program in the competition.
The men's team also delivered a promising performance. Sophomore Myles Eggerton paced the Raiders with a time of 25:57.5 in the 8K, placing him among the top NJCAA finishers. The squad earned a 9th-place team finish overall, taking second among junior college programs.
The season-opening meet gave Coach Sayers a strong look at his teams' potential as they continue to build momentum heading into the fall schedule. They race again tonight, 9/12/2025 in Tallahassee.
