Seminole State College cross country continued its strong progression with several standout performances, including two marks among the fastest in school history and a second-place team finish by the men.

The women competed in the 5K, led by Dayanara Suarez Delgado, who finished 11th overall in 20:49.90, the fifth-fastest time in school history. Athena Turner placed 38th in 23:49.00, followed by Addison Freeman in 55th at 26:19.70 and Ashley Diaz Franco in 67th at 29:30.30. Three of the Raiders' four women recorded personal records, highlighting a strong day of individual improvement.

The men delivered an outstanding performance in the 8K, finishing second overall as a team. Aiden Williams led the way with a second-place finish in 26:32.30, the third-fastest time in school history. Gabriel Lewis followed in fifth at 27:38.00, Gabriel Silver finished eighth at 27:55.50, and James Happl placed 10th at 28:09.80. Jaden Houdashelt rounded out the lineup with a 19th-place finish in 30:43.50.

The Raiders placed four men in the top 10 of the field, demonstrating impressive depth and competitiveness. All five Seminole State men recorded either a new personal record or season-best time.

Overall, both teams showed continued progress, with the men earning an impressive second-place team finish, the women recording three personal records, and Suarez Delgado and Williams adding two of the fastest performances in program history.

"This sets us up nicely leading into regionals just 10 days after this race," Coach AJ said. "After a gap between races, we were able to buckle down and train hard, and the results today showed just that. The goal now is to sharpen the work we've done and go into regionals as fresh and fit as possible to get the best results we can. Both teams are still very young, and a lot of improvements are being made on a daily basis. We just need to put it all together when it matters."
