JACKSONVILLE, Florida – The 2024 edition of the Runnin Raiders, is as Coach Tucker Morgan stated, "filled with a bunch of racers!" Members of both the Women's and Men's team are a competitive group and not satisfied with good results. Both teams finished 5th at the UNF Duval 5k Cross Country Challenge (13 teams on the Women's side/12 teams on the Men's) and were the highest placing teams from the FCSAA. Freshman Morgan Harvill was tops again for SSC (23rd overall, Top FCSAA finisher) with a 19:41. Robert Bellamy ran 16:54 for Seminole and placed 31st overall. The entire results are linked at the top of the page.
Even with slow and wet conditions, the Women's team set a school record for fastest team average (21:21). Harvill is now #2 on the All-Time Top 10 list for Seminole State Ladies, Rachel Horsford is #8.
Seminole will next travel to Embry-Riddle in Daytona on September 21st for their first morning race of the year.
