Teno Ready for Fall Season

Nine Raiders set to compete

SANFORD, Florida - The most dominant golfer in NJCAA (and Seminole State) history is off to Oregon (Minori Nagano). As are two other All-Americans (Minami Kudo and Grace Aromando) and a fourth Raider (Grace Connelly), all matriculating to NCAA Division I schools (Old Dominion, Bradley and Lamar, respectively). So what is Coach Christa Teno to do? Bring in six quality freshman to compete with the three returning sophomores (Ayami Takahashi, Tiana Eldem & Banthita Phoncharatkun) in search of a fourth straight (and fifth overall) National Title.

Coach will use five fall tournaments to help judge and teach. She plans to take several individuals in addition to her "starting five" to most of the tournament to gain valuable playing time. The fall campaign will begin where last season end, Mayfair Country Club for the Fall Warm-up presented by Orlando Health, September 2-4.

The Raiders will play in three (and half) tournaments during the month of October. The half is the Mercer Invitational and will conclude on November 1 in Macon, GA. SSC's last two tournaments will be in Georgia. The other is the Georgia Southern Tournament. The Eagles squad include former Raider Alex Stevenson.

Check back later in the fall for an updated roster and team profile.
