Women's Golf Begins Season at Home

SANFORD, Florida - It's a new time, a new course and a bunch of new faces. What probably won't change are the results. Seminole State Women's Golf will host Eastern Florida State College (NJCAA) and Palm Beach Atlantic (NCAA Division II) this weekend in the Seminole State Warm-up presented by Orlando Health. The home event (Mayfair Country Club) is a departure from the historical event that SSC hosted in March of each year at Timacuan Golf and Country Club.

Coach Christa Teno said recently, "Our newcomers are good. They are just getting comfortable but they will be a huge part of our success this year. I wanted to put them in pressure situations early. So we moved the tournament to early fall and to a new course."

The Raiders will play all six individuals (Minori Nagano started the semester in Japan and looks to return to the team in October):
Teno continues, "We love playing at Mayfair and we look forward to hosting (2022) Nationals at Timacuan. We get such great support from the Golf Community in Seminole County. Can't say thank you enough." The best way to say thanks might be another National Title, which would be the third in three (competitive) years and fourth overall.
