SANFORD, Florida - Coach Teno understands the challenges a team has in its first tournament. That is exactly why she likes to host the SSC Fall Warm-up presented by Orlando Health Tournament. She can assess who handles a competitive environment, who has adjusted to the collegiate level and who is ready to play for a program that aims for titles. Teno saw a lot she liked and has now started her list on where the team can improve.
"I like to throw them in the proverbial frying pan," said Teno. "The conditions were tough with the heat, humidity and threat of rain; the competition was there with two four-year schools (Palm Beach Atlantic won the event and sent two teams along with New College of Florida) and the course was certainly a challenge with all the recent rain. We will take this weekend, make notes and begin to work towards JU's event."
