SANFORD, Florida - Seminole State won their own Spring Break Tournament at Timacuan Golf Club on Wednesday. When you are the defending National Champion, sometimes the greatest competition is from within. The Raiders once again showed why they are a team to be reckoned with.
Minori Nagano played spectacular golf, winning individual honors with a -4 (140) over two rounds. Finishing second overall was emerging star,
Alexandra Stevenson. The Freshman from Durham, England shot a -2 (142) and tied Minori for the low round of the tournament.
The windy conditions made for tough play during Tuesday's first round. "I thought we grinded well on Tuesday and capitalized on better conditions with some good golf on Wednesday," commented Coach
Christa Teno. "I love hosting an event so we can play all seven of our ladies. And we can show off our golf course and community."
The starting five and two individual players scores were:
- MINORI NAGANOÂ - -4 (71, 69, 140)Â - 1st
- ALEXANDRA STEVENSONÂ -2 (73, 69, 142) - 2nd
- MARYÂ MAÂ +13 (80, 77, 157) - 8th
- SOPHIA WARRENÂ +15 (84, 75, 159) - T10
- KARNTIDAÂ THANTAMNUÂ +15 (82, 77, 159) - T10 (Individual)
- ALEX GILESÂ +16 (81, 79, 160) - 12th

The Raiders will travel to Dade City for Western Kentucky's Spring Break Shootout, March 15-17.
