Valentine brings more than 25 years of coaching experience at the youth, travel, high school, and collegiate levels. Prior to joining Seminole State, he served as head softball coach at Vermont State University Lyndon from 2019 to 2025, guiding the Hornets through one of the most successful periods in program history. In 2022, Lyndon recorded 17 wins, the highest total since the program's return to NCAA Division III competition in 2008, and earned its first North Atlantic Conference Tournament appearance since 2014. The Hornets returned to postseason play in 2025. Before leading the Hornets, Valentine served as assistant varsity and head junior varsity softball coach at Lyndon Institute in Vermont, helping guide the program to a state championship in 2013. His coaching experience also includes extensive work in club and travel softball through the U18 level.

Valentine is committed to helping student-athletes improve every day, both on and off the field. His coaching philosophy emphasizes hard work, accountability, continuous growth, and developing student-athletes into successful competitors, students, and leaders.
