Diana Couch brings more than 30 years of experience in intercollegiate athletics leadership, including athletic administration, coaching, recruiting, and student-athlete development. She joined Seminole State College after serving as director of intercollegiate athletics at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Illinois, where she guided a period of academic achievement, competitive success, and increased campus engagement.

Couch's leadership philosophy is centered on providing a holistic student-athlete experience that emphasizes academic excellence, personal growth, leadership development, and competitive success. She is committed to creating opportunities for student-athletes to excel in the classroom, in competition, and within their communities while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and achievement.

Prior to Lincoln Land, Couch served as associate director of athletics and later director of athletics at Florida State College at Jacksonville, where she also led the women's basketball program as head coach. Her coaching career includes head coaching positions at Indian River State College, Fort Scott Community College, and Neosho County Community College, as well as assistant coaching roles at Newman University and Independence Community College in Kansas.

A Florida native, Couch began her educational journey at Brevard Community College, now Eastern Florida State College, where she earned an Associate of Arts degree. She later earned an Associate of Science degree in Photographic Technology from Daytona State College. Following graduation, she owned and operated her own photography business, specializing in sports photography. During that time, she photographed NCAA football and Major League Baseball Spring Training, gaining valuable experience in athletics from a unique perspective before transitioning into coaching and athletic administration.

Couch later earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine.

Throughout her career, Couch has built programs that prioritize student-athlete success, academic excellence, leadership development, and meaningful campus engagement. She is known for fostering a culture of engagement and leadership by connecting athletics with academic support services, honors programs, and campus initiatives while creating opportunities for student-athletes to grow both personally and professionally.

"I am committed to creating an environment where student-athletes, coaches, and staff feel supported and empowered to succeed academically, athletically, and personally," said Couch. "Returning home to Florida and Region 8 is especially meaningful, and I look forward to building strong connections across campus and within the community while continuing to elevate the student-athlete experience."
