Jessica Nunez joined Seminole State College in January of 2026 as an assistant softball coach. In her role, Nunez works primarily with catchers, outfielders, and hitters while assisting in all aspects of the program, including recruiting, player development, game preparation, and more.

Prior to joining Seminole State, Nunez spent four and a half years as an assistant coach at Lake Brantley High School. During her tenure, she helped guide the program to multiple state tournament appearances, District and Regional Championships, and a runner-up finish at the 7A State Tournament in 2022. In addition to her high school coaching experience, Nunez currently serves as the Lead Instructor for the Altamonte Fastpitch Academy with the City of Altamonte Springs. In this role, she oversees the academy’s travel program and manages all staffing.

Nunez played collegiate softball for three seasons at Hillsborough Community College, where she played as an outfielder and left-handed slapper. While at Hillsborough, she earned her Associate of Science degree in Pre-Medicine. She later completed her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of Central Florida.

Nunez completed a four-year varsity softball career at Legend High School in Parker, Colorado, contributing as a right-handed hitter, left-handed slapper, and outfielder. During her senior season, she helped lead the team to its first State Championship title in school history.
