Three Raiders, One Destination: David Davila Commits to Bethune-Cookman University

The Seminole State College of Florida baseball program is proud to congratulate David Davila on his commitment to continue his academic and athletic career at Bethune-Cookman University, where he will compete at the NCAA Division I level as a member of the Wildcats.

Davila's commitment is a tremendous accomplishment and another example of the Raider program's commitment to developing student-athletes who are prepared to succeed at the next level. Through hard work, perseverance, and an unwavering dedication to improving every aspect of his game, David has earned the opportunity to continue his baseball journey in one of the nation's premier Division I conferences.

Throughout his time at Seminole State, Davila consistently demonstrated the qualities that define Raider Baseball—discipline, toughness, resilience, and a relentless desire to improve. Whether in practice, the weight room, or under the lights on game day, he approached every opportunity with professionalism and a team-first mentality.

"David's commitment is the result of countless hours of hard work and a genuine dedication to perfecting his craft," said the Seminole State coaching staff. "He came to the field every day with a purpose, constantly looking for ways to improve while setting an outstanding example for his teammates through his attitude and work ethic. David has been the kind of player every coach wants—a selfless teammate, a fierce competitor, and someone who always puts the team's success ahead of his own. We're incredibly proud of everything he's accomplished and excited to watch him continue his career at Bethune-Cookman."

At Bethune-Cookman, Davila will reunite with fellow Seminole State teammates Luis Prieto and DI Region 8 Player of the Year Juan Orozco, giving the Wildcats three Raiders who already understand the championship culture, accountability, and competitive mindset built at Seminole State. Their familiarity with one another and shared commitment to excellence should provide an immediate impact as they begin this exciting new chapter together.

Davila's commitment also continues a long tradition of Seminole State players advancing to four-year institutions and making an impact at the Division I level. Each commitment reflects the dedication of the student-athlete, the support of family and teammates, and the developmental environment that has made Raider Baseball one of the nation's premier junior college programs.

As David prepares to wear the maroon and gold of Bethune-Cookman, he leaves Seminole State with the respect of his coaches, teammates, and the entire Raider community. His journey serves as another reminder that commitment, perseverance, and a team-first approach open doors to incredible opportunities.
