AUBURNDALE, Florida - Seminole State Baseball won two out of three games over the course of two days in the annual Ed Davis Juco Kickoff Tournament in Auburndale. Seminole State pounded Hillsborough Community College, 11-5 on Friday. Ethan Salak notched the Win. In the first of two games on Saturday, SSC was not as sharp and lost 15-3 in six innings to Pasco-Hernando State College. In the proverbial night cap, the Raiders won a thriller over perennial national power, (#4 FCSAA) Chipola College, 7-6 in 8 innings. Box scores for all games are linked from the schedule page.
The Raiders will open the home part of their spring schedule at the Jack on Tuesday vs. Daytona State, first pitch will be at 1:00 PM. Tickets are free. This is a non-conference match up. Seminole State starts play in the new Citrus Conference beginning on February 15 vs. the State College of Florida.
