SANFORD, Florida - The Seminole State Baseball team has been on a roll lately. Wednesday's 3-1 victory over Eastern Florida moved the Raiders to 12-5**. SSC has now won 8 of their last 9 games. Ryan Franklin (3-1, cover photo), the lefty transfer from Flagler College, threw 8.2 innings, striking out 9 and walking two while
picking up his third win of the season. Michael Marrero collected his second save of 2023.
The offense wasn't sparkling, but didn't need to be as the Raiders notched a run in third, fourth and fifth innings. Jhoander Irigoyen (upper right) and Danny Ramirez (lower right) each smacked solo home runs.
Seminole State will travel to Bradenton on Friday for a 2 p.m. game, then return home for a 3 p.m. game vs. the State College of Florida. On Saturday, SSC will host Florida SouthWestern starting at 1 p.m.
**Earlier in the week Hillsborough College had to forfeit their 5-4 victory over SSC due to using an ineligible player.
