SANFORD, Florida - The Raider Baseball team defeated the Florida State College of Jacksonville BlueWave 10-2 in 8 innings on Monday. Rese Brown (4IP, 1H, 0R, 3K) picked up his third win of the year against one defeat. Brown replaced the starter, Garrett Hester who also threw well (4IP, 2R, 2K).

The game was tight until the bottom of the seventh when Seminole exploded for five runs. Miles Bowens (1-3, 1BB, 4RBI) did most of the damage with a grandslam. Bowens would have earned Qdoba Player of the Game had it not been for Corey King (2-3, 2RBI, 3R, 1BB). King was involved in the scoring for SSC in the second and fifth, both times allowing the Raiders to take the lead. He also scored the winning run in the eighth (run rule). Jaylen Youngs (1-2, 2R, 2BB) also had a good day. The speedster from Thomas Woodley High School in Cape Coral walked and scored twice and collected three stolen bases.

The team's will finish the three game series at Florida State College of Jacksonville on Wednesday. Seminole will host Pasco Hernando on Friday at 1 p.m. Fans are not allowed at on-campus games. The game will be streamed via @buildingRaiders twitter account.
