SANFORD, Florida - The Raider Baseball team defeated Lake-Sumter State College 5-2 in 10 innings on Friday. Jack Speights did not earned Qdoba Player of the Game as he did on Monday, but he did provide the thrilling game-winning homerun in extra innings. The left-handed hurler, JC Sewell earned the honor.

Seminole's pitching was spot on during the tense affair. Cameron Carter (7K, 3BB, 2R) got the start and threw seven strong innings. Sewell (4k, 0R) came on in relief and continued the shut down of the LakeHawks.

SSC had lost the first two games of the three game series to LSSC, both by just a single-run. Speights' (right) late game heroics insured there would be no sweep. The Freshman from Clearwater has now provided some offensive spark in the last two games at The Jack.

The team's game at Florida State College of Jacksonville has been postponed due to weather. Seminole will host FSCJ on Monday at 2 p.m. Fans are not allowed at on-campus games. The game will be streamed via @buildingRaiders twitter account.
